Just got back from my class in Mississippi! I'm a complete beginner as far as firearms go, and I think I learned more in the 3 day class than I ever though I was going to.

The class was taught by Bush Narc, LLC -- a group which teaches class for law enforcement, SWAT teams, and tactical medics.

I'm the one in the Coors Light hat. :noes:

    That being said --

I have practically NO firearm experience what so ever. The nice part about this class was that any question that I asked was answered immediately. Even if I thought it was a completely ignorant thing to ask, the instructor was extremely helpful and explained all the basics.

We were told to bring 1000 rnds to shoot and over 3 days we fired all of it.

Of the class, most were medics who were part time on tactical units. The instructor tried to put mostly medics in this class and herd the law enforcement officers in another to make it easier on us. I would have been extremely intimidated if a bunch of cops were on my same firing line.

    What did I learn?
    1. You can't shoot enough ammo and THINK you're proficient enough.
    2. Gotta shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot more if you wanna be good.
    3. Shooting a target while moving (even walking) is harder than it looks.
    4. The slightest inconsistentcy in your shooting grip or trigger pull can make the difference between a spray and a grouping.
    5. Thumbs begin to ache after loading 600-700rnds
    6. Even if you have a million candle power flashlight, you still can't hit shit at night unless you practice, practice, practice
    Damn hot in Mississippi too.

I have unrealized dreams of being part of GI Joe. Don't ruin my childhood fantasy.

Actually I bought it from cheapthandirt.com with some ammo and a holster -- I figured, ah, why not?
