When you buy it I will be waiting for another horror story report.

Seriously though, if you do buy it let us know how it goes because thats a good deal.

Just order from brightflashlights.com, its only $189 from him and he is great in the service department. Had mine in two days and when I had a question about it, he answered quickly and said if the problem couldnt be resolved by Surefire he'd take it back no questions asked.

    streamlight TLR-1 = 80 lumens @ 2.5 hours
    surefire x300 = 110 lumens @ 2.4 hours

    :hsughno:

can you put a remote switch on the TLR-1?

I'll stick with my TLR-1. I don't need a remote switch on a fucking glock.

    I have the TLR-1 and a Surefire X300.

The Surefire is BY FAR the superior beam. Its brighter, its better focused, but still has enough surround to illuminate an entire room. When shining myself in the eyes using a mirror, the TLR-1 is merely a distraction, the Surefire is literally blinding. A good thing if you have to confront a bad guy at a bad time.

The TLR-1 has a better mounting system and a better instant on switch system.

I'm really torn between the two, but as it stands the Surefire will live on my one main HD weapon and the TLR-1 will be able to be switched between my other handguns and my AR as needed since it has a better and faster mounting system.

the switch lets you activate and deactivate the light at will without taking your finger off the trigger

    lulz.

And where would you put this magical remote switch? Can't be on the grip otherwise you'd always have the light on while gripping it.

remote switch is for a rifle, dude.

if you're pointing a gun at someone, whats the problem with the light being on? just adjust your grip slightly to not activate it if you dont want it on. :mamoru: not that hard

one less thing to worry about in the heat of the moment is better. I'd rather not be worrying about "is my grip too tight so I don't give away my position".

Well when I've tried handguns with grip-located pads to activate lights/lasers they seem to come on when you grip the firearm strongly. I want to be able to grab it and not worry about being quite so delicate in a shtf situation.

edit: your priorities and perspective on "things" is vastly different than mine so we can just agree to disagree :hsugh:
