Figured Footratfunkface would enjoy the M3X pimpage hanging beneath my SIG P226-Rail ... perhaps others will as well.

And lest it not be outdone, my Glock 23 volunteered to model it also.

    P226R > G23 But I'm biased as a P220 owner. ;)

    They both look good, though.

its seems kind of pointless. it doesnt seem like it would be of a whole lot of use. it looks pretty cool though.

A weapon mounted light is very useful if you are shooting for selfdefense in low light or darkness. You may only use it one time in your life outside of training but that one time would prove its value.

i think i am just going to stick to my Z2 surefire seperate that way the gun won't be as bulky plus i haven't really seen any weapon lights that put out as much light, everyone talks trash about the m3's, whats so bad about them?

I just wish more gun holsters were available for tactical lights.
I have a nice M3 but only one gun holster for it.

A friend of mine (and ex SEAL) advised me against a weapon-mounted light because the tiny reflection from the light gives up your presence. So I have bright lights and guns, but no bright lights on guns.

I love when people add all the little doodads to their weapons, it reminds me of all the little fart piped Honda Civics I see driving around Sad Diego.

True enough, (which is why most mil folks with lights have something called a "cap" over them when not in use.) however IMHO, for a civilian home defense scenerio, the benefits of having the light to ID target and gun-mounted to keep aiming it simple and allow a free hand without dropping a weapon all far outweight the concerns of reflection.

So they aim the gun at the bad guy, and pop the cap off at the last possible minute? Smartass comment gets a smartass reply :x:

I think that's a good point, and my idea of "home defense" differs from most that you see on the internet. The ideal "home defense" with an armed intruder scenario for me involves the bad guy breaking in and me leaving out the other end of the house to call the cops with my cell or from the neighbors' house. If I do end up cornered the last thing I'll want is a light or reflection telling where I'm hiding.
