so far i've only owned maglights which have been fairly shitty - i've been looking at getting a surefire for my car and possibly one to carry sometimes - is the 6p defender uncomfortable due to the sharp edges? i've been looking into reviews and can't find too much on either

the g2 is appealing because of the price and size but i do like the defensive aspect of the 6p defender - for a carry/general car flashlight, which would you reccomend? i know they are quite different, but i'm hoping to get some insight because i'd like to pick one up soon

    thanks :hsd:

IN. Looking for a new flashlight as well. What about the E2D Defender? Looks decent enough. :dunno:

I love my Fenix P3D. Usually just toss it in my pocket if I know I'm going out and it's going to be dark.

Agreed. I alternate between a P3D Q5 and a T1. Both provide plenty of light up to 50 yards.

I personally own the G2, E2D and the 6P Defender. I final that the 6P Defender has become my favorite. The E2D is nice but it quickly destoryed my pants and I opted for the 6P Defender with a holster though you can throw it in your pocket. I use the P60L bulb for use when working the door and the P61 bulb the rest of the time.

would you carry the 6p defender without a holster just in your pocket? or would that rip your pants up as well?

I have the G2 and it's a great affordable little light. I don't think I'll ever have the need to try and "defend" myself with a little flashlight, I think my fist would do more damage. :)

    Fenix P2D CE

    Holy shit.

I did find my Nuwai Q3 the other day, but after carrying the P2D CE, I think it might be retired.

Personally, I didn't care for surefire's holster, so I went with this from comp-tac:

i ended up going with the fenix p2d and it is a fucking amazing flashlight - fantastic for carrying

i still kinda want a 6p defender though...after years of owning maglites, it's refreshing to know there are flashlights the size of my finger that give better/brighter light output than my 4 d cell maglite

so on a side note - what would be a good flashlight (hopefully under $75) to attach to my mossberg 500? i'm new to this LED flashlight thing - is there anything affordable (possibly with a laser) to put on the rail of my p226? everything at my local gun stores seems to be 250-400 for anything thats made for the rail

thanks all - couldn't be happier with my p2d and now i just want to throw away all my shitty bulb-type flashlights and replace them

The bezel on my Nuwai is similar to the E2D, and 6PD, and when I sit down, the bezel scrapes the shit out of my Aker belt. On the black it's not a big deal, but the brown shows up pretty bad.

I think I'm going to go with a G2. If I'm in fear enough for my life that I have to strike someone with a surefire defender light, I'm going for my knife or my gun.
