I have a Surefire 6P that has a tail end with the "remote" pressure switched attached to a wire with Velcro so you can put it on handguards or something, but I just want to be able to use my Surefire 6P like a normal flashlight. I went to Surefire's website but the regular tailcaps are like $37, for that price I might as well just buy another 6P.

Anyone here know where I can buy regular tailcaps for a lot cheaper? I went on to Froogle and ALL the dealers are selling them for the same price as Surefire's website.

You buy it used or something?

I'd just buy a G2, it's basically the same thing but $30.00 and plastic instead of metal.

I don't think there are any aftermarket standard tailcap companies. I suppose you could upgrade to the one that lets you click on and off, either way it's gonna cost you upwards of $30.00

    Go for the G2

I think I paid about $16 or so for my click on/off tailcap from BrightFlashlights on the AR15.com forum.

Check for Digilight parts, as I've heard many of them interchange just fine. Also post a WTB ad over on www.candlepowerforums.com I'm sure you'll find one there.

Is your tailcap a Surefire brand... Z48 or Z49? :dunno:

Sorry it's been a while and I didn't quite remember what I paid. I should have a standard tailcap off of my M2 light laying around. Pay for the shipping and its yours.
