Hey guys. I started taking Tribex today (testosterone Booster) and I'm wondering if any of you guys have used it before. I took took 1 pill for a few days before, but today is the first day I'm starting the 5 day cycle so I'm taking 4 pills a day. I worked out about an hour and a half ago and I felt like absolute shit. I was sweating my ass off 15 minutes into my workout and was really fatigued. Also my heart rate was way up. Anyone used this before or know anything about it and whether or not there are negative side effects?

The main ingredients are the Tribex Formula (not sure what that is) and BioTest Super-concentrated extracts (tribulus terrestris, vitex agnus casus, eurycoma longifolia).

    Thanks in advance.

tribulus does nothing to raise testosterone, thats been established clinically, it may have some libido effects due to dopaminergic binding and NO effects.

vitex modulates prolactin, but its effects are very inconsistent. It also contains progestenic compounds, which may explain your sweating (hot flash variant)

longjack has some libido effects, otherwise the research on it is spotty at best.

    honestly, none.

reveratrol may have some effects, but they have not been shown in humans, possibly because of SERM like activity and mild sulfatase activity, it may or may not have aromatase activity. It also has low oral bioavailability, so best would to take powder and add to red wine or other alcohol (obviously the smallest amount of alcohol possible). Can also be taken transdermally.

AI's are effective, but they are on the fringe of "natural". For testosterone boosting and estrogen lowering (which is the primary way to raise testosterone, by reducing negative feedback on the HPGA by estrogen) reccomend either Aromasin or AIFM, low dose.

btw- just to make it clear, tribulus and longjack do have some libido effects. So they CAN be good for that, they just wont do anything for testosterone.

note2- aromasin and AIFM are not steroids or PH (note- aifm does contain small amounts of DHEA, so it does contain hormone substrate). They have steroidal structure but they are really just inactivators (suicidal substrates) of the aromatase enzyme.

perhaps resveratrol. But not ready to really say that with any certainty. Its certainly a beneficial compound regardless.

unfortunately, the alcohol content also increases aromatase. So more than a glass is likely detrimental to testosterone production (or at least increases estrogen conversion).

low doses of alcohol are actually quite beneficial to women, because it raises their adrenal testosterone production (no such luck for mens :sadwavey: )

there are but not really worth it.

if you really want to try resveratrol buy some powder and add to a small amount of alcohol (like red wine) (its fairly soluble)

broccoli does contain DIM that might have some impact by increasing metabolism of endogenous estrogen, but that has not been really established.

Macro - would I need to worry about estrogen blockers / decreasers with Tribex then? I assume not but its better to be safe.

yes, but its not really been established in humans nor from its intake as food. It likely has impact, just how much is whats in question.

do beleive that consistent intake (over years) of such foods is of benefit, but short term impacts are likely minimal.

i took tribulus for awhile, and i could tell a noticeable increase in sex drive (i'm over 30).

its herbal, and its normal for you to have to take it for awhile to notice a difference
