Disclaimer: This is not bragging.. I am simply sharing a story of what happened last night in BJJ class to show the effectiveness of such a move. k.thnx.bye.

So last night I am rolling w/ this kid and I throw up this move : http://lockflow.com/article_view.php?id=366 : which I have tapped people out before with. Well the kid decides to resist after I have the move fully applied but because I have my forehead buried on his chest/neck area he cannot forearm me so he just holds his breathe and posts both arms while arching his back.

Well I proceed to apply the squeeze and wait this out. I hear the air being squeezed out of him and after 3-5 seconds he taps my face and I promptly release. He then proceeds to go on the offensive and I say "Dude, You tapped!".

He says "I did?" then lays down backwards and begins crying loudly for about 7 seconds and then stops crying and asks me "Where am I?", "What happened?" I then tell him that he got knocked out and he doesn't believe it. Then he lays back and begins crying again and comes to again.

We told him that he got knocked out and was crying but he has no memory of ever crying and it took him a while to regain his senses.

The point of this story is that I never knew this move could do that. I just thought it caused pain to the ribs more than anything. I will definitely be using this at the next comp. BTW. Kid was fine after 15-20 minutes.

CLIFFS: Applied said move. Training partner did not tap and got knocked out.. started crying.. and came to. Weird. Move is effective. :bigthumb:

they call it a bikini lock by the way

the story is that these jello bikini wrestlers came to dave terrell to improve their "skills." one of them did this submission to the other, and dave terrell was like "wtf, that doesnt work.." he then tried it, and was amazed that it was a valid submission. He named it a bikini lock

If you are referring to the guy on top rolling on his back/sideways to avoid the submission then yes, that would work. Turning your body sideway while remaining on top would work also or even forearming your opponent to relieve pressure/leverage. At least these are the things people have done against me when I have tried it. The first 2 options still offer the attacker a better position though.

We call it a Scorpion Crunch.....If you have a lot of strength in your legs you need to be careful because when you apply if very quickly it can make the guy on top barf on you......This isn't the best outcome for anyone......

Man, I would feel so stupid if I tried that on someone and failed. It just looks kinda goofy.

It works great if you can set it up.....Especially if you can get your knees close to his armpits.....That will really mess them up......

its funny when you pass people out to see how they respond. the crying thing ive heard about. I brought this up at the gym today and the instructor had a bunch of funny stories.

    1. saw a guy pass out and wake up stood up really fast looked around and passed back out woke up looked around and passed out again

    2. guy woke up looked at every one around him and then rolled into a ball and went to sleep like he was in his bed at home

    3. guy sits up looks around and just sits there staring at the wall for a couple of minutes with his eyes glassed over then he looks up and the life comes back into his eyes and then he asks what happened
