    Supercharged Silvy SS for 2005

Guy on one of the s-series boards who posts all the insider information and such sent me this link, supposedly the source is pretty darn reputable so this is some good news from GM finally. While its still not up to the par of what we've been used to for an SS, at least its a step in the right direction performance wise. It'll probably up the price even more though :sad2:

Some other people were saying we should also expect this in 2005...

Take it as you will, but the guy who first posted it (evok) is supposed to have pretty damn good accuracy when it comes to these things :x:

I saw a custom made SS that looked alot like that one but extended cab. It had custom SS badging with what looked like an eatons blower similiar to the Lightnings. Also just RWD. (Was there ever a limited production?) It ran up against a Lightning, and held its own up to the 60ft mark and the L just ran away.

Well the only SS's out now are the extended cabs and awd (except for the old 454ss, but that's neither here or there), I've seen a couple on the ls1 boards with blowers on them though, was researching what the best one is for a fairly stock truck, my uncle is getting a 2500hd with the 6.0l and we're throwing on the radix magnacharger on there, should be fun

    How credible is that source?

It would be nice, but I'll have read it from a credible source before I believe it.

Supposedly he's very credible, enough so that all those people take his word at face value :dunno:

By the time either Chevy or Dodge puts out a sport truck the Lightning will be out of reach (for the $$). The 500hp SRT-10 concept has no handling package and neither did the SS from what I can remember.
