How do I get windows back out of Safe mode if I can't log in? What keystroke at startup can I use to get it back into normal windows?

    Windows XP, by the way.

    Please help.

this, but it's tough to figure out when.

I just hit it every 2 seconds all during start-up.

You need to get OUT of safe mode? Just reboot... Hitting F8 at startup will give you the option to boot into safe mode. You don't need to do that if you want to boot up normally.

Just hold it down unless it's a reserved BIOS level key sequence

And this - remember that you can get to the C-A-D screen by hitting it twice if you use the non-domain login screen. Here you can enter the admin username and password.

"just hold it down" ends up making my PC beep and the key won't respond so it doesn't get the F8 message.

press it every 2 seconds has always worked.

It's just the keyboard buffer - it should still work regardless.
