i don't know about if the 40d is better than the 50d (haven't used either one of them), but a used 40d is a much better bang for the buck.

We sacrifice old CF cards in this cult. An offering to the photography gods.

it's a lot of personal preference, and there's a steep learning curve with Photoshop if you're not already familiar with it.

Light room does a lot of things, but Photoshop does them all and more. Photoshop is for "heavier" editing is the common census.

I have beach and 65in. of 1080p goodness here.. (even if it's just DLP :mamoru: & the waters colder).

Was actually in Florida a few weeks ago for a wedding, but bounced out real quick after that and kicked it in the Bahamas for a few days.

You can learn a lot from this forum, there are like 90% less trolls here than there are on main OT forum..

PM me with any questions.. i'm pretty well versed with both canon & nikon shit.

lightroom is more of a way to catalog and process your raw files (and jpg's if you shoot that way). then use photoshop for any heavy editing. 90%+ of the time, i don't need to use photoshop though. i'm not a working pro though either, just an it guy with a photography hobby.
