I would personally prefer if the sun was a little offset from her head so it doesn't look like her head is glowing. I still like them though :bigthumb:

    not digging the sun halo.

Woulda been better if you used the sun outside the frame as a hair/separation light, then used your strobe for the main light.

thanks. the sun was so incredibly bright...I'll see what I can do next time
kinda. I wanted the sun behind her to (a) give a glow in her hair and (b) glow behind her. the 2nd photo was too much though I think

I actually did this on one of the photos but the background wasn't interesting :wtc: good call though.

I'm sure if you moved closer to your girl AND closer to the ground, the glow in the sky would be almost eliminated and she would still have the glow in her hair.

lol you're probably right. between trying to keep my homemade softbox from falling off the flash and weathering the cold wind, I guess my mind wasn't 100% there. thanks :wavey:

next time gel your flash a 1/4 CTO... or adjust your WB a little warmer cause she's blue in the face.

The head covering the sun thing DOES NOT work. Either keep it in the frame off to the side, or out of the frame all together and use it to your advantage.

I like the halo in the pic I just posted because it's titled "Sun Goddess." But otherwise, I agree with you
