So I somehow managed to fall asleep on the bus the other day, and didn't notice that my sunglasses weren't on my head until after I got off and it started pulling away. Naturally, I'm going to call the lost and found hotline, but seeing as they were rather expensive and relatively rare, I'm pretty sure they're gone one way or the other. So the question now is what to get next. My now previous pair were the Oakley Magnesium Switch, and while the design probably wasn't to everyone's taste (luckily I got them before Oakley became the bro brand of choice, but still...), I loved them because I could use them for everything. They were practical. I could run, play tennis, drive, go out, do whatever in them. I thought they looked good, and I could see while wearing them, so I was happy.

Over the last little while though, my style has changed, so I don't think having the same type of sunglasses for all those activities is going to work; ideally, I'd like to have one pair for sports-related stuff, and one pair that I can wear with casual clothes/when I'm out. For the former, I'll probably go with Oakleys again, albeit something a bit toned-down, and for the latter, I kinda want Persols or something along those lines. Suggestions? Price isn't a huge issue, but obviously I don't want to be droppin' mad scrilla on some stunna shades, son.

Two year old picture of scrawny face for reference, featuring bonus unidentified ass:

EDIT: Totally going to get ripped for that picture here. Oh well.

Just grabbed a pair of the curvier Wayfarers. I <3 Ray Bans a lot, but for sports, it's hard for me to find anything that matches the durability and style of Smith Optics lenses and frames.

I like Ray Bans as well, but for the most part Wayfarers look terrible on me. I don't know, my face just isn't 'right' for them. I'll try the curvier ones though! I do like the fact that they have a few color combinations.
I'd look into them if I wasn't convinced that they now only make stunna shades. Do they have anything that's a bit more...contemporary, I guess?

Done. Didn't find anything especially interesting, even after trying a few things on. I already have an idea for what I want (there's a certain pair of thin-frame Persols I REALLY like, can't quite remember the model number now); what I'm looking for is suggestions for brands/models I might not know about or have otherwise looked at.

I think that'd be news to both her and I

I think I'll try some of the "curvier" wayfarers; the regular style makes me look like I'm trying to channel a heroin addict.
