I know I should be eating almonds, but I love the fuckers. I usually eat 1/2 cup per day.

Sunflower seeds are high in fibre and high in protein. The high protein content will help stave off hunger. They are however also high in fat, albeit good fat.

They are a nutritious food but very calorific. Excellent to eat if you are trying to gain weight but not so good if you are trying to lose it!

you're contradicting yourself here. "good fats" are great for weight loss

I love these things, dirt cheap and a great source of fats. I buy the kernels though, fuck the hassle of trying to peel these things.

    Hi Steve,

The good fats themselves may help with the weight loss process but I am sure you will agree that because fat is high in calories consideration must be given as too how much sunflower seeds anyone planning on losing weight should eat.

    Hi Steve,

I'd like to let you know that I have been eating pistachios lately. I agree with you on the sunflower seeds, peeling them sucks.

    Hi Steve,

I like to eat them mainly because of the salt, causes me to hold a bit of water but I'm not getting on stage.

    Regards,

    KIDRR

    Hi KIDRR,

Can't you offset sodium intake by drinking more water?

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Please stick with the approved format. These pistachios I'm eating are like six months old at least. I'm good.

    Hi Erok,

Probably but I still gain a bit of water weight. Damn I'm craving some sunflower seeds right now.

    Sincerely,

    The REAL Thomas
