Sumo DL...

    In competition, are you allowed to do sumo style DL?


    I keep trying traditional, but I can't seem to do it without rounding my back too much. I can keep a nice arch with sumo...

    Follow-up question: Sometimes my knees get sore after DLs. Is there a foot position I can adopt in order to avoid this?

    Your foot and your thigh should be at the same angle so that they're in line with each other. As your knees point out, your toes point out. The wider your stance, the more the toes point out.

    sumo pulling shifts alot of the focus to hamstrings. mine are weak as hell, least i feel so. they're my #1 focus this summer when i get back home to a gym that has a GHR.

    I dunno. I'm not all that strong, but I can keep a good arch with sumo.

    I think my geometry is bad for traditional.
