I want to do some summer shopping soon, whats cool lately? I know for a fact that I'm picking up a pair of Vans Slipons and a pair of flip-flops, but what else?

I actually read something that said those Vans are no longer stylish. Apparently, a short while ago people started wearing them to be different. When it caught on it became so trendy it's now mainstream, and is no longer considered cool. I wouldn't listen to anything the media says though. If you like em, get em. I just wouldn't buy em just because you think they're in style. You might want to consider some of the more sought-after Nike, Asics and Adidas casuals. There's a huge selection of colors and patterns available. Here are some Nike Dunks another OTer has up for sale. I actually bought these exact shoes a little over a year ago and have gotten nothing but positive reactions on em. Just a suggestion :wiggle:

Speaking of patterns, I intend to try out some new ones this season instead of just going with the traditional stripes. I have a feeling argyle is going to make a pretty big impact this season as will bias plaid and even paisley. Diagonal stripes, which have been strong recently will continue to grow in popularity.

i just think the vans are pretty simple and cool looking. i want a show i can just slip into and don't have to worry about laces, but i might still change my mind.

ive always wanted a pair of dunks, but they're pretty expensive :/

the dunks are only expensive if you buy the limited edition ones that people collect. The regular/not rare ones are about $60 or so I believe.

The Vans are alright but just don't get the checkered ones or the ones with flames on em...

what would you wear those with exactly? I mean, I'm picturing a pastel plad kilt and a kitten pattern smock on top of a faded sweater topped with a big red hat...

I really like the first pair I showed...but I can't justify paying $90 for them. I'm really at a loss for what I want this summer. I want some shoes to replace my Blue/Yellow adidas Samoa

I really like those Nike Dunk Lo, but its hard finding a decent color combo

These are to be worn with Bob Marley t-shirts, unless you're on the Jamaican bobsled team.:fawk:

Okay, soooo I freaked out and contacted customer service about these shoes, because I wanted them and couldn't find them anywhere in a size 14. And the bitch was like, "Calm down, sweetie, the shoes are unisex --ie, female (or gay)-- so you need to buy them in females sizes." I was like, "uhh...what does that mean?" and she was like, "1.5 sizes smaller than your men's size."

I was like, "oh...thanks...and is that generally? Like, girls shoes are generally 1.5 sizes smaller?" to which she replied, "yeees".

...does that mean that those boots that I lusted after but couldn't find in my size, I could just go for the ladies in size 12.5??? Hmmm....

    I think you have to add it. Since I know I wear a women's 8 1/2, but a men's 7.
