I need to buy a suit (a nice one). I know it will last me a long time, so I was just looking for some recommendations. Price range I am willing to spend is around 1000-1500.

...be little more specific in what you want, and it will be easier to help you. you also don;t need to spend a lot on a suit if you just get it tailored properly, and be careful not to dry clean it too often.

i think you could do brooks brothers made to measure for that price range, though obviously not the highest end fabrics but it would still be better than most off the rack stuff

I really don't know too much about suits, but I'm looking for maybe a nice pinstripe one, doesn't have to be black.

Go bespoke if you are paying that much. No point in picking out an expensive off the rack suit, since most tailors have designer fabric in stock.

if you have one of these near you, they have some great suits (hint: not the $199 ones, although they are decent if tailored well)
