I just recently installed a pair of polkdb571's in the rear doors of my 1999 explorer and I am now looking for some suggestions for speakers for the front doors. I am open to either component or just regular speakers, and also I am running a Alpine CDA-7892 Headunit and at some point will be upgrading that as well. If anyone has any suggestions for that please let me know.

One finally question, should i be concerned with running an amp to all four new speakers, or just the front or back?

    Thanks for your help

What size speakers do your doors fit? How would you mount components? Just need amp for the fronts. Power the rears w/the HU or sell the rears (unless you want them there for passengers). Do you have a sub?

Patch your 6x8 with plywood and liquid nails then cut a 6.5 hole. Get a good 6.5" componet set and mount the tweeters on the dash. That is what I did in my B3000. It sounds good.
