Looking to do a budget build for my uncle. All it will be used for is internet browsing and maybe word processing. So I just need something very basic. I threw together an amd system thinking that may be the cheapest dual core route. What do you think of this build I'm not very familiar with amd so I don't really know whats good and whats not. Any suggestions, changes? I kind of wanted the mini tower but am open to mid tower suggestions if it would be cheaper.

Would you be willing to use used parts?

I just upgraded the mobo, ram and CPU in my pc and I have all the old stuff just sitting there. It works just fine. I will sell you the CPU + cooler, RAM and mobo for say, $100 including shipping (I am assuming you are in the US).

    Here is what I got:

Intel Pentium D Smithfield 2.66 dual core
    2 sticks of 1 gig DDR2 533 (PC4200) memory
    a Gigabyte mobo.
If you are interested email me at [email protected] and I will tell you what the model number of the mobo is.

If it were for me I wouldn't have a problem, but its for someone else so I would rather just buy new, that way they have a full warranty and such.
