Suggestions for Athlon MATX mainboard?

Discussion in 'OT Technology' started by Deus Ex Aethera, Oct 24, 2004.

  1. My mainboard has gone to hell. So, I need a new one. It has to be AMD-compliant, capable of supporting an Athlon XP 2600+, and use your standard DDR RAM. Oh, and it has to be Micro ATX.

I've had bad experience with Asus, I'd go with an ABit instead. Just my preference :dunno:

If you want to OC then go abit.... Otherwise MSI has a better board for the money.

  6. Amusing. Completely independent of your suggestion, I picked the same board. Thanks for the confirmation tho.

    I like Asus.

everyone will always have a bad experience with a board that someone else may love.

Personally I think ecs is the worst pyle of junk ever -- yet some people swear by them.

ECS is the worst pile of junk... I have never heard of anyone having a good experience with them.

  11. How many computers do you guys build, anyway?

The only reason I have the experience I do is from providing for a family of four. You guys sound like you do it three times a week.

I've only built one, but a lot of guys on here upgrade more frequently. Some also work in shops building computers or in other related jobs.

I have a computer related job.. so on average, a few a day, when I'm not busy with other stuff.
