Apparently, my Gigabyte GA-7VRXP won't support my 2500+ that I just picked up, so I'm screwed until I can find a decent board.

Preferably something with a chipset fan as well. It has to support PC2700 as well as 8x AGP, and I'd prefer something that allows adjustment of clock multiplier and speed in the BIOS.

    Anyone?

A7N8X-Deluxe is an AWESOME board. You shouldn't have any problem getting the PCB revision 2.0, but try to get it. It officially supports a 400mhz FSB, although I'm having no problem running at 410 right now on my PCB 1.3 (I think).

Oh, it also has 2 onboard NICs and onboard 5 channel audio that has received reviews as being better than the Audigy cards. It also has an optical audio connector if your speakers support that.

I've ordered the A7N8X-Deluxe with the NVIDIA NFORCE2 SPP, NFORCE2 MCP-T chipsets (no on-board video, though onboard 5.1 sound with a seperate SPU) for $127 from NewEgg :bigthumb:

Altex wanted $175 for it

This should put me in line for a 3000+ chip when Doom3 and HalfLife2 roll out this fall :bigthumb:

There are a couple of versions of it, and most have the onboard video. For some reason, most places that I spoke with said that it was a "new board" and thus the price - I believe that I paid Newegg $150 for the board with onboard video when it literally first came out (it was the only board that supported the 2800 when it came out at Newegg a month early).

Well you said "I think" and I didn't know if you were unsure of the price/seller or the board. I just got home from the bar. Leave me alone. :hs:

my mobo just died and I'm thinking of getting the Albatron kx-400-8x

all the reviews I've read were positive and it's only $139 with a 2400+ processor

EDIT: Oops, I forgot, it's not really made for overclocking though :o
