I want to use two of these in an Escalade Ext install under the rear seats:

The entire subwoofer itself is only 4 inches high total.

Anybody find any t/s parameters on it? I called Pioneer and they gave me this:

    Qts: .55
    Fs: 31.7
    Vas: .991 cu. Ft.
    Xmax: 8.6mm

I would assume that this is not enough info to calculate optimal box size but the pioneer site reccommends between .6 and 1 cu. ft. of air space for each.

At best I could get about 1.2 cu. ft. of air space for a box under the rear seats (with polyfill the box would feel more like 1.4 or so.)

    Questions:

-Can anyone calc. box volume w/ the few t/s parameters that I have?

-Can anyone build one for me!

-With the use of these subs be efficacious?

    Your thoughts please!

I'm just gonna assume that thedriver dispalcement is .1^ft per sub.

Assuming this you have about 1.1^ft for both subs (you are doing dual subs right)

1.1^ft will give you a QTC of .957

Depending on your tastes that may be too oomy. If you listen to mainly rap/hip hop it should be fine.

subbox design software is available for free on the web. Google search for it. I recommend Blaubox, AJ Sealed Designer, Perfect Box 4.5, and Boxplt 3. Need Dos to run some programs. I have a mac that has dos. Blaubox is a program developed by Blaupunkt to design boxes and it works.
