Do you guys think it's proper to interact with the subject to make them laugh a little, and to show some emotions, if they're just really deadpan about everything and seem emotionless?

Or do you think it's just best to capture the moment, regardless of how they look like?

This doesn't just apply to weddings, but parties, events, things of that nature.

It's a veritable threesome between you, your subject and the camera. You absolutely must have communication, otherwise they are just candids.

its your style, you decide. true PJ would mean no interaction, but most really don't want that even though they may shop for PJ style. Meaning they want limited interaction, not entirely posed forced shots.

I just tell them some ideas and let them do what tehy want, sometimes have to give little tips and hints, though I try and get my assistant to catch those first.
