been out of the car stereo world for quite a while

just picked up a 97 m3 coupe and looking to install 1 10" or 12" sub that can be installed in a very small box.

what sub and amp combo would you recommend?
    looking to stay under $600

It will be hooked up to an alpine 9820xm

the RL-s is a monster LMT sub, better suited for HT but can do very nice in car also, single 4 ohm and can take a TON of power,

I hope to own one eventually

Wicked sub. Literally RULER flat BL. Has rediculous output capabilities as well. They do however require rather large enclosures... as stated they shine in HT duty.

I had the chance to demo the 12, had a strapped pair of modded MTX 1501d's on it @3.5ohms... so 1.75ohms per amp... good for 2500+rms... easily the loudest and cleanest sounding 12 I've had experience with daily.

    :)
