so for struggling college students like myself and broke ass people in general, how do you get your style on while keeping off the ramen noodle diet?

I stick to buying decent staples and then getting extras and accessories at places like H&M and uniqro. Do you hit up sample sales for the designer stuff or *gasp* actually pay retail?? I'd be really interested in how you guys find out about big sales by designers or what websites/ sources you use most.

One idea i saw was going to a really rich neighborhood (like greenwich,ct for me) and checking out the thrift stores. any others?

h&m will have what you need to look good for the moment. never turn down a chance to check out a thrift store though. I picked up a pair of brown suede Church's a while back for $20, perfect condition externally. They run a few hundred bucks new.

gets jeans at jcpenny then :dunno:

although i find more stylish types and washes at UO. worth the premium

i digress. UO, while "overpriced" still features a bunch of clothes that are designerish for way less (150 for a coat instead of 1400)

    Good advise.

I'm surprised how many people do this. Guys and girls. The last thing you want is to look like H&M got sick all over you.

Also, look out for car boot sales and stuff.
