So I've been student teaching this fall at a middle school, and I've been struggling in the fashion department. I've been wearing black dress pants with dress shoes, with colored shirts and ties. Needless to say, it's a little much but it's all I really have.

Do you guys have any fashion advice for a 21 year old teacher-to-be? I'm thinking of something along the lines of chinos, more casual button ups with ties, and sperry boat shoes? Any general guidelines? I'm also going to buy a leather messenger bag to carry instead of my north face backpack.

    :hsd:

Do you have to wear a tie? Shirt + slacks + semi-dress shoes would be sufficient would it not?

yeah, it's recommended by our university supervisors. it's supposed to make us seem more professional to the community since we've had complaints about our students lacking professionalism in the local schools...

H&M dress shirt slim fit will fit u well if you're muscular. and they're cheap. ive gotten them for $40, $30, $9.99, and a couple white dress shirts for $4.90 (no idea why they were marked that cheap)!
