When you look down the sights, do you squint one eye, turn your head sideways, or what?

I went to the range and in the time it took to fire off 150 rounds, by the end my face was hurting from all the squinting. Maybe it just takes time to build up those eye-muscles :hs:

Actually, I'm generally clueless on stance and technique. I need to look up some more info and work on this in future sessions.

I find my dominate eye and close the other one and aim.

i shoot with both eyes open... iron sight pistol, red dot, scoped rifle, or open iron sights on a rifle. it just works easier for me... and less stressful on my eyes

I keep both open and get the sights close to lined up, then I half close my non dominate eye just prior to the squeeze.

scopes and such I only use 1 eye

Both eyes open. It's a skill you have to work on. It comes with time, being able to ignore my dominant eye. I'm left-eye dominant, and I'm a lefty, but I shoot mostly right-handed, so it took me a while to get where I could keep both eyes open.

    rifle both eyes open
pistol I cannot see both sites and target in focus. So I have to close one eye, I am not a great shot with pistols. Hit center mass at 14yards, good enough for now.

i shoot with both eyes open for handguns... rifles, shotguns and scopes give me trouble as I'm right handed and left eye dominant.

Shooting weak handed was rather easy for me as for as accuracy, except for the muscle memory things and getting tired after a while.

I'm thinking of picking up a left handed rifle or borrowing one to see how it feels.

same here, but I know that my Right eye is my dom-eye.

take a piece of fabric and put it over your non-dominate eye (lense) if your face is hurting from holding it shut... (seriously, it works)
