Ok, I know I should know this, I feel like an idiot asking but... I havnet burned a CD for several years, maybe 5+. I typically use MP3 players for everything. My wife wanted me to make her some CDs for her car, so I tried but they dont seem to work.

Basically I tried doing what I used to do (several computers ago). I torrent full albums in MP3 format. Then I put a blank CD in the drive and it auto runs with the option to burn to disk. I burn the files to the disk but they wont play in the CD player, but will on my PC.

Do I need to convert these files somehow? If so, what format and what program works best. :o

you need to burn them as an audio CD unless her car is new enough to have a CD player that plays MP3's. The easiest way to burn it as an audio CD is to open windows media player and go to the tab that says burn. In there, you can drag and drop your MP3's into the window and burn 80 minutes worth of music to the CD.
