I'm not dieting or trying to lose weight, but my roommate just bought some and its really great for getting through 5 solid hours of class when I don't have a long enough break to grab lunch :hs: is it okay to have one of these to hold me over between meals? Diet stuff scares me.

It's basically just a protein shake with a lot of vitamins and stuff in it, you'll be fine. Slightly off topic, but slimfast is AWESOME for hangovers. I chug one right before I pass out and/or when I first wake up and it does wonders. :hs:

    I'm the roommate.

I ought to be trying to lose weight, heh.

I like 'em. Nice for breakfast, or when I'm running late (which is nearly all the time, ha) and I haven't had anything to eat. I hate missing meals because then I tend to overeat when I do get around to eating, so this helps curb that problem a bit.

Might help if I could stick to a regular schedule, but schedules and such are totally for squares. I'm much too hip to abide by some sort of schedule. :greddy:

Bro, if you're using the terms "hip" and "square", you're not "hip".

i think slimfast runs really high carb and the protein content is not to great either. I think last can i picked up was 9g protein. Also, the fiber content is basically non existent.

1 packet carnation instnat breakfast, 1 scoop choco protein, 2 tsp plain metamusil. around 290 cal, 32g protein, vitamin fortifide from the instant breakfast and 7g dietary fiber. just get a shaker, put all your powder in in the morning and during the day when your ready, just add water.
thats about the best meal replacement I could come up with thats balanced.
cost is about 90 cents per shake.
