OK, strong is probably 600+, but whatever.

If someone put a gun to your head and demanded to know two pieces of your best advice for pulling form, what would they be?

I know there are a lot of sites out there with advice, but I can't take everything in at once...I would like to hear the "distilled" advice of people who know what the fuck they are doing.

I feel like I have at least another 75 pounds in my pulls but I am nervous and always distracted about my form and whether something will go "pop." I have stopped using straps and a belt, too, so there is a lot of shit going on in my head when i should be thinking mostly about lifting.

some of the best advice given to me.

dont think too much, just do it.

    lots of chalk.
    look up when pulling.
squeeze the weight off the floor.
roll the bar to get in the hole.

Can you elaborate at that one?

Also, I only asked for two pieces of advice per person, so I am afraid that I am going to have to kill you.

make sure you breathe right into your stomach and keep your head up. When you're about to pull your entire body should feel rooted to your feet. Work on finding that balance point of yours where you can "lock" yourself in.

dont jerk it off the floor, take all the slack out your arms and stay tight as hell.

no. depends on the person's limb/torso lengths.

pull the slack out of the bar before you pull
    keep your head up

Drive through the heels, don't have the weight on your toes.

Don't waste energy by doing a ton of leg drives before you pull

Keep everything tight... you do this by squeezing the shit out of the bar and flexing every muscle in your upper body.

Don't pussy the weight off the ground... be aggressive.

If you have a lockout problem, especially if you have a desk job or sit a lot stretch your hip flexors and quads.
