Yeah, I know they need more PP work.

As far as taking pics during sunset, it wasn't working out for me. I started to get more of a better sense once the sun has actually set. Either that or I just became more creative.

    What are you guys' thoughts?

Not bad, lacking contrast in a lot of them, you did ok with the strobes, I suggest get down lower (on your stomach) to avoid the light spill.

    Good effort.

They were all at the same location :hs:

I had a stand tip over from the wind, or else I would have used one.

I forgot to tell LR not to strip the exif data.

    But they're all roughly at ISO F8 @ 1/125

Does this look better? They all seem way too boring to me :o

I think I'm getting the hang of it

It's an auto :mamoru:, but my friend can't justify spending $10k more on a manual.

    Definitely understanding more

I feel like if there was A LITTLE more space on the left and bottom it would be better. It almost seems like its about to get cut off page since theres so much room everywhere else. Oh and next time don't park it on top of the parking lines, it's a small detail but I read that somewhere.

I'll keep in mind not to frame the image too close to the edges, thank s:)

Accidentally saved over the file, but yeah I figured I'd be removing all the parking lines in PP.

eposures look MUCH better after the edit...

creating atmosphere with darkness and underexposure are completely different...

I think your best bet would be to up the flash on the car and slow down the shutter, so the car keeps the new exposure but the background is a bit darker/more dramatic.

Not enough of a difference between background and car.

    The car is underexposed.

What is the look you're going for? Complete isolation from the background? Or do you want some of the background in your shot?

I'll give that a try

Yeah, still working on it :hs:

Nice PP. I'm a bit afraid to go nuts with vibration/saturation. But after seeing someone else do it, it doesn't seem so bad after all :bigthumb:. PP tends to haunt me cause I used to think all these pics were straight off camera :o.

Complete isolation looks pretty badass IMO. I haven't fooled around too much with subject+bg+strobes yet, but I'll toy more with the the idea.

The look I was trying to go for is isolation.

    Fusion: Nice pp work .

    Last one, maybe...

In that case you want as fast as shutter speed as possible (max sync speed). What were you using for those shots?

Ah sorry, I've been breathing too much paint fumes(painting brother's house).

For the most part I've been using ISO100 F8 @ 1/125. I see where you're going with this.

I'll try using max sync speed 1/250 and then play around with high speed sync.
