Stripping chrome for painting?

    I was wondering what the best way to strip chrome off is. I have chrome wheels on my car right now and want to strip the chrome and paint them black.

    Dude, unmounting and mounting a tire is like $5-10 at most tire stores. :ugh:

    I don't think you're going to get the results you're looking for without.

    :werd: any kind of acid you use will eat away at the rubber. Plus it's not a quick process.

    Find a place that does something like this professionally. That's why people call me to polish their paint.
