    Strikeforce/Dream 185 pound lineup:
Champ: Jake Shields 25-4-1, 14 fight win streak, 31 years old, 11 years pro MMA experience

Contenders (within one or two fights):
    Dan Henderson
    Jason Mayhem Miller
Joey Villasenor (Has the whole world forgotten about him?!)
    Robbie Lawler
    Scott Smith
    Jacare
    Cung Le
Tim Kennedy (he has the skills, and now that he's back from the desert he's going to do some damage. 2 "name" wins and he's a contender)

    Also:
    Melvin Mahoef
    Frank Shamrock
    Cyborg Santos
    Matt Lindland
    Benji Radach
    Karl Amoussou

Clearly it is time for them to start running their business with some kind of long term model instead of this card-to-card system they seem to be on now. Their middleweight division is LEGIT and it is a shame these people are fighting so rarely. They are so concerned with preserving what names they have, they're failing to build any, really.

    I'd like to see:

    Shields vs. Jacare
Cung Le vs. Scott Smith II
    Mousasi vs. Henderson
    Manhoef vs. Nick Diaz

Jacare is the only guy on the list that might beat shields.

    How about:
Lawler vs Villasenor for next strikeforce contender (also a way to build villasenor's name bc of the "avenge my loss" storyline)
Jacare vs Mayhem for dream belt (remember last years fight?)
Then they do another champion vs champion fight.

But I totally agree with the other 3.
Le vs Smith for a guaranteed exciting fight
Mousasi vs Henderson for the hardcore fans
Manhoef vs Diaz so Diaz can get the beating his "thug" ass deserves. But it wont happen bc manhoef isnt making 170, diaz isnt man enough to go up to 185. But I hope they give him his walking papers for what he pulled.

Diaz fought Smith and Shamrock at 185 didn't he?

Diaz vs. Cung Le would also be interesting if Le beats Smith in a rematch and Diaz beats Sakurai in Dream. Might be getting too far ahead of myself though haha.

And yeah, your picks make a lot of sense too. I'd prefer to see Shields vs. Jacare over Jacare vs. Mayhem though...Jacare looked sick against Lindland.

Agreed, Evangalista Santos is one of my favourite fighters to watch because he brings it every time, you won't get boring ass decision fights with him in the ring EVER.

Dingdingding. EliteXC's 160lb division was because thats Diaz's optimal weight. He's the american shinya aoki, a whiney little rule manipulating weenie.

Also I think that if Le wins, they'll push for Le vs Shields on the grounds that he was kicking scott smiths ass the first time, and it was his belt to begin with.

P.S. Cyborg vs Manhoef II!!!!!!

He's a cool dude too...I got paired up with him at a Cleber Luciano seminar once, drilled and rolled with him for like an hour. Very friendly, and freakishly strong.
