This is basically the only option and Strikeforce is the only company who would co-promote.

Fedor doesn't need to fight Rogers to get Overeem... Overeem and Rogers should fight to see who gets Fedor.

I wonder if that 30 million 6 fight deal from the UFC was actually legitamite. I'd be shocked if he took 6 million over 30 million.

overeem just re-injured his hand. seeing that fedor is freshly trained for his fight against barnett and rogers coming off a brutal arlovski KO, they should fight as soon as SF can put another card together after the 8/15 event

well Fedor is co-owner of M-1 so i think in the long run, for his career after fighting, the establishment of a solid company is more important than 6 mill a fight now.

brand recognition. They have shows all over the world almost every month. If they have their logo on CBS and are associated with Strikeforce, it only means good things. They are establishing a company slowly, seeking new talent, something that 5-10-20 years down the line, when Fedor is too old to fight, will bring him in money.

UFC is not gonna give him a pension. What if the dude wants to make millions when he's 70? With his own company he can do that

If UFC offered him a 6 fight deal worth 30 millions. Dude could have bought everything he ever dreamed of after the 2 first fights and then invest the rest. He would be making millions off of interest at 70.

fedor has an ownership interest in M-1, he is interested in the long term income. If he can build the credibility and legitimacy of the company on his own athletic success, more power to him. $6 million with strikeforce now, a lot more later. UFC's $30 million would be the last money he would ever make lol.
