So much stuff out there about stretching and warm ups. I have no problem with ROM. I am mainly looking at injury prevention and muscle strains.

Will static 30 second stretching help this? I know it works for ROM. But from my reading injury prevention is not proven.

    What does prevent strains,pulls,tears,etc?

Should also do foam rolling. Foam rolling makes stretching so much more effective.

Optimally you should be preceding lifting with foam rolling and dynamic stretching and doing some static stretching after lifting.

    This.

There are also some static stretches you can do before lifting. Get warmed up, get a sweat going, foam roll and mobility work. I like to do some static hip and hamstring stretches before low body training. I do RC stretches and lat stretches before upper sessions.
