Whenever I do any type of physical activity, I stretch. Might be just because I played a lot of team sports when I was a kid and we always had to. Anyway, nobody I lift with stretches, and half my soccer team doesn't even stretch.

So I was wondering if any of you broly's stretched, or is that just for girly men like myself?

I spend 15-20 min of static stretching after every workout lately.

Mostly just a pre warm up before a lift. Like a light set of weight.
Then a lift, and after, I perfom PNF to help cool down and do some static stretching.

I'll do some basic leg and shoulder stretches before I go for a run. About 5mins worth :dunno:

I usually get pretty tight after I lift, so it feels good to stretch out.

After a good workout when I stretch, ESPECIALLY after leg days (fucking christ :wtc:), it feels so fucking good

I understood the reason why S&M exists while stretching my legs.

I do dynamic warmups before I lift. Usually 5-10 different warmup exercises depending on what im doing that day. also warm up really well before going into work sets with light weight

    before and after every workout.

I used to do gymnastics and I dive now, so flexibility has always been pretty important. I can stand and lay my hands flat on the floor pretty easily, even with shoes, head to knees, etc.

i jog in the beginning to warm up, and it acts as a bit of stretching i guess, or at least it gets my muscles warm. sometimes i stretch during rests. after workouts i stretch for about 5 minutes.

I should be stretching everything but as it is I strech chest, tris, and hamstrings because they're problem areas for me as far as being too tight and fucking up posture etc.

and pre-lifting I always stretch my hip flexors.

I'm an ice hockey goalie, so I stretch my legs out quite a bit....

I can hit a split and straddle and do all sorts of other silly shit you see goalies doing...

But for lifting, I only really stretch the day after leg or back day, and roll around on a foam roller to help with keeping my back in line...

i do some stretching every morning for lower body/legs, mostly got into it to recover from a back injury, now i just want to be able to do splits and crazy shit.

one thing i noticed is that my squatting has improved significantly since i started stretching for front splits.

Mind posting your stretching routine? I have the flexability of a 90 year old morbidly obese man.

start with one knee down ( right ) and one knee up and lunged forward (left).
Place both hands on the side of your body in front of you on the ground that the knee is down on (right).
Using your hands, [dont remove them from the ground] pull/move forward with your body until your left knee is touching the ground.
Then slide your right leg up and forward, put your hands on the other side, rinse and repeat.
