Last year I got a stress fracture from running too much, it completely healed. I started running again and slowly built up my strength. I've been running pain free 4-5 days a week since March. Out of nowhere, I started getting pain my the same shin (other shin is painfree) that got the stress fracture before, but I don't know if it is a fracture. I can't really find a spot on my leg that hurts pressing down on it, but when I put a lot of weight on that leg, it hurts.
