FUCKKKKKKKK......i guess these injuries always come in fucking bunches. South Florida must be out for blood. First Accord breaks his ass, then my buddy fucks up his new during Phase II Q course, now im fucking stuck with a stress fracture in my right leg. Thought it was shin splints for a couple of weeks, then i went on a 4 mile run, and its been pounding ever since. Took a week off of running, and it seems to hurt as much if not more :wtc:

im being a big baby about it cause im a cadet now, and ill cry if i want to dammit. I think this fucks up my chances of going to Camp this summer? Any ROTC peeps out there with any knowledge on what my options could be? Anyone just want to laugh at me? Hit me? Whatever...

I had a stress fracture in my foot from the last week of first phase until the very end of the crucible. Doing every single hike in boot camp (except for climbing the Reaper, it was mostly healed then...Thank fucking God.) with a stress fracture is really hard, but motivating.

I got light duty twice, for like 2 days each, and it would start to heal, then as soon as I was off light duty, my foot would get worse again.

I had to get it wrapped and iced for 2 weeks straight.

My advice is just to get crutches (yeah a stress fracture isn't that bad, but the less you're on it, the quicker it will heal.) and stay off of it until you can walk on it with no pain. It's better than risking a break.

you'll be fine. don't let it stop you from going to camp. a buddy of mine made it through the entire camp with a severely sprained right ankle (so severe that he did some permanent nerve damage, so don't take it that far). FT is mental (i'm assuming you're talking AFROTC here)

    Don't over do it.

Don't be afraid to get your injuries looked at and treated.

I had a "stress fracture" in my left ankle

2 years after that I was medically discharged and I have a license plate with a pretty little handicapp man by disabled vet.

I had 2 stress fractures on my left shin and 3 on my right during boot and AIT. Sucked. Take a calcium supplement.
