All at the same time. As I wrote in the main forum:

"I slept for like 12 hrs. Took 60mg's (max recommended dose) of Adderall (legally, I have a prescription) after I woke up and just couldn't focus on anything. It's insane. Usually even 20mg should be sufficient.

My ADD/depression combo is getting out of control. It's not even the kind of depression where you cry for no reason. It's like the one where you just don't want to do anything because it feels like you are unable to get anything done right.

Anybody been in this situation? Any advice? :hs:"

any advice would be appreciated, thx :hs:

Try taking fish oil along with your medication.

Fish Oil? Try Snake Oil. That works even better.

    1) Excessive doses of Amphetamine (Adderall) will result in less, not more, attention. If it takes 20mg to make you pay attention, then 3 times that will not give you 3 times the attention span. It will often make it worse. So don't take too much Adderall. That is called abuse, and its serious.

    2) If you are depressed, and you have a psychiatrist (which you do, cause you have Adderall), then TALK TO HIM ABOUT IT. He can help.

The end. Help yourself. Its not hard.

part of your lack of attention could be a result of depression.

you may or may not be ADHD, i don't know but getting help for depression should be a definate first step.

I think you need to consult a specialist, you need to talk about how to solve your problems, and to re-evaluate the Miligrams of prescription that you are receiving.

Always love to see a fellow Pub Medder. ;) Interesting links, but Fish Oil will not directly address his problem. Not a front-line solution. More like something to add once he has the care he needs, when he isn't abusing his medication.

Don't mess around with your prescribed dosages. Experimenting on yourself will have weird effects like what you described. They are totally to be expected.

If Adderall isn't working for you, call your doctor. That's what they're there for.
