Yeah, so street photography was the assignment and it's just not my style. I wouldn't want some guy pointing a camera on the street but, hey, the prof. dictates what we're doing. Anyway, these are a couple I liked. Lemme know what you guys think.

    1) Had a flash camera left held by my brother

    2) Same set-up

3)Guy selling comedy club tickets. He got me by saying "Hey you dropped your sunglasses" so I'm guessing he was saying something similar to that guy

    4)Man cleaning by Penn Station

Cant really say I like them too much.

The background (or whats happening with the background, or how the people interacting with the background) is not enough IMO to warrant such loose crops.

#3 is crooked and #4 isnt isolated enough.

    :two cents:

I like 1 and 4. The lighting is cool on number 1. I would trash number 3 - does nothing at all for me.

I really don't like any of them. :o

The lighting in #1 is cool...but I think it's far too blah in terms of content.

The one I like the most of all of them is the guy cleaning stuff in the white jumper.

Yeah, the subjects weren't great, I just liked the "pop" effect they had. I kinda took the idea from Nick Turpin's shot:

Big scene, small subject but still being the center of attention whereas normally I'd make the subject dominate the frame. I'll prob. try something like that again with a more "willing" subject

technically, I think #4 is the best of the set, but... #1 had me looking at it the longest. While I don't think that it would stand well on it's own, in a series I think it would be very interesting.

to be honest i like them all dude. especially #1. in 3 and 4, you did a great job capturing the moment especially with all the pedestrians walking around, getting in your frame and what not.

Thanks, man. I actually thought the last one NEEDED people around him to show how we ignore people like that but they're there or else the city would not be the way it is. I decided to go with f/1.8 cause I love bokeh whenever I can use it and also so the people in the foreground would be out of focus too.
