Anyone listen to these guys? I just found out about them today actually. Former members of Taking Back Sunday. I don't think they are as good, but comparisons aren't really fair.

good band. . . I might be going to see them play with the new amsterdams (much better band, side project of some of the guys of the get up kids)

But yeah, straylight run and TBS are too different to compare. . . different genres of music. I went to a TBS show about two weeks ago, definately fun stuff.

    Straylight Run is pretty good.

I love one song by them, "The Mistake We Knew We Were Making" but the rest of the songs are eh.

I'm not the biggest fan of these guys, but there are some vaguely likeable tracks. The problem I do have with them is their name. It's a literary reference, but it's from a book that is hard, edgy, sharp and heady. These are not words that come to mind to describe this band.

Bonus points to the fan of this band that can tell me what book they poached their name from. I am, of course, acting under the assumption this isn't something they've spoken of in interviews, propaganda and the like....

yeah, they're a local band. i've listened to them since they started making demo's. kinda upset about how polished they made john's vocals on the actual album. but whatever.
