Strange question......do you think that sci-fi fans are (on average) wealthier......?

....than the average person? Or better yet, are they more likely to be in the upper-middle class than usual?

Lets say age 20-40, just to narrow it down. I'm doing market profiling and sci-fi fanatics seem to be one of my best bets so far.

From what I've seen society portray them in movies and tv I think that's a fairly optimistic view.

But I tend to agree with galek_spoo then again I'm sure it's like a bell curve.

all the guys that knew in HS who were into sci fi hardcore are in college now, if that means anything. In my electrical engineering classes, almost every non forgien person know about starwars/anime/battlestar/stuff of the sort.

But there are those guys who are still living with mom and dad doing odd jobs around town, and hangiong out at the comic book store.

so i'd say scifi fans are just about the same on average.
