WEB Strange permission issue on files.

    I've got some files that are set to 666
    Im trying to download them via ftp and i cant. So i try and change permissions to 755 and it wont let me. I tried via control panel, ftp, and ssh.

    can you try going through ssh and chmoding them to 0777? also try checking who is the owner of the file

    wouldnt let me. the owner was me (admin).
    i finally was able to pull them off that server and put them on my new one. i had to make a back up of the whole thing and download it then extract it on my comptuer. that was insane.

    chown -R accountusername.accountusername foldertheyarein

    you do that?
