Strained my lower back!

    2 weeks ago I strained my lower back during bjj. I took a break from it since then and it felt better somewhat. Yesterday I had a tournament and in the MIDDLE of my match, I reaggrivated the injury and now I can not even sit down/stand up, lie down, or do anything without extreme pain. I went to the E.R. last night and they gave me motrin and a muscle relaxant... Holy shit I feel so bad for disabled people now that I can't do shit by myself.

    yeah, i took muscle relaxants every 8 hours for an entire weekend, and that seemed to help. if you can get some darvocet, that'll take care of the pain. instead of a heating pad, ice it down; its better in the long-run

    I'm in the same boat as you brother... injured my lower back a while back, healed up, or so I thought... pulled it Saturday morning putting a 45lb plate up after sets of 365 for reps of DL's.. so weird..
