seriously, if you can afford to shoot $25 worth of ammo in a day or two, then you can damn well afford $25 a year to keep in place those rights that you cherish.

Sadly, there are people in this country that believe only certain parts of the Constitution should be adhered to. The NRA has done so much for gun laws, and protecting our rights and our hobbies. Whether you own a gun or not, if you believe in your rights to own firearms then you should be a member of the NRA until the day you die.

Its usually $35 to join, but heres a link through gunsnet forums that lets you join for $25.. and you get a free magazine subscription.. theres a few choices.. American Rifleman, Americas 1st Freedom (my personal favorite), and theres one more, forgot what it was.

besides.. they send you lots of free goodies.. like yesterday, I got this nice free hunting calendar :coold:

so go join, right now.. put off a week of shooting, or your daily coffee if you have to.. its about 7 cents PER DAY to support a great lobbying group that keeps your rights where they should be.

I'd like to protect my gun rights, but I'm uncertain about entering into the company of so many rednecks. :hs:

NRA & GOA here.. I'll be going through the list posted right above mine shortly & sizing up other organizations, to see if they are worth joining.

I especially love GOA's system, whereby you can send out a very intelligently-written email to your representatives, with very little work on your part, directly from their site.

Def worth joining. The subscriptions are pretty good, and having the knowledge that your gun ownership rights are safer with an organization like the NRA makes it easier to sleep with a gun under your pillow at night...:noes::hsugh:

eh, more maneuverable than a longgun, and my only other pistol is an 8 round makarov.. smaller caliber, less capacity.

    G34 is a 9mm with an 18 round capacity (17+1)

or 33 rounds if I got the 33 round mag :eek3:

i joined about a month or so ago at the gun show. I havnt gotten my next issue of american rifleman though.

I was going to join anyway, but the main thing that got me to do it earlier was the whole SF gun ban, if the NRA will fight against it, i will gladly pay to help.
