    1) Do not give advice
    2) Do not reply "nice pics" to everything - especially when they are clearly garbage.
    3) Do not give advice

This is due to the disturbing amount of threads in which the 28-135IS was recommended or the only replies are:
    -nice!!
    -EXIF??
    -HiRes for wallpaper?

kthnx - From someone better than you. Merry Christmas.

youll need a camera first :o

as an aside, related but not strictly photography. it is utterly confusing to me that anyone would give any advice about any product or otherwise without handling etc the subject of the advice. ie, this lens is sharp... these tires are sticky.... vista sucks.... rolex is overpriced.... whatever. im not saying i have knowledge more or less than anyone else, but i dont tell people about the stuff ive read internet reviews about yet never actually touched, used, seen etc. in person.

    that is all.

    BUT

people ask what gear or exif as noobs, mainly for lenses, at least thats what i look for. because most noobs like myself are looking for something to replace their kit lens, or which telephoto/wideangle/fisheye whatever to get and, like with everything else, when you ask you get:
    1. search,
    2. shutup noob,
    3. its not the gear its the person behind it (even though everyone unanimously says the kit lens is garbage and not worth its weight in anything),
    4. some moron quoting what they read on some other forum that some noob posted after reading a review.

    im done complaining

You're basing this on my User Title that I haven't updated since October?

You will never last in OTAP if you keep this up. STFU and as Arnold would say, "Stop whining!"

I've lasted in Off-Topic of nigh on 2 years now, I doubt this art-fag child will be my undoing.

    :bigthumb:

Depending on how much of a fatty my tax return is (or if I want to break down and use my CC) I'm getting a new lens soon. You'll have some pics to tear apart.

The originals look to have a bit of noise. Try bringing in more light so the aperture isn't going apeshit.
