I am the first to say, EVO's suck. I dare you to say otherwise.
to each their own
both are shit, Cosworth all the way
Although I agree that Evo's suck, I also believe that STi sucks dick.
STi Sucks, Evo Rules TIA
I bet you never even driven one or the other.
They're about the same
Top Gear's mortal-kombat style ranking of cars shows that you are wrong.
lol @ "mortal kombat style", i always thought of it that way too. Evos do not suck, but many of the people who drive them do. STi > Evo
hahah dood sti/subaru owners are pretty flitty too I actually feel that evo people know more shit about cars than subaru owners. Subaru owners are mainly just know it all about their own car
i'd i have to agree from all the sti owners i know....
Lots of ignorance in this thread.
Both cars have aspects they excel in. As someone said, they are close to the same.
One thing I do notice is that in my area there are more Suby owners who compete in sanctioned events than Evo owners. Both seem knowledgable and enthusiastic about cars though. Of course there are "d00dz" in both scenes, but that's a given for any enthusiast group.
Wow people got pretty heated. I have a 05 STi and love it to death. EVO's aint bad, but the whole clutch dumping after a few launches is kinda crap. But lol lots of $hit flingin in this thread. Have a wonderful day.
They're both great...
but like petey pete said, the clutch isn't very... good.
I could have gone either way to be honest.
they are both nice cars i prefer the evo heh
So... what, you're like 16 or something?
Do you own an EVO? The clutch myth is just that.
Here we go again......
if you're talking about nasioc, then that doesn't count. nasioc = vortex in that regard. (i.e. lots of post whores, whiners, my ish is > all types lol)
i've driven both the evo and sti. they both have their attributes. the evo is the better performer; its quicker and more precise. its also alot harsher. the sti is the better daily car. i like a harsh ride and a quickly responding car, and i thought really hard about buying the evo that we had on my dealership lot, but in the end i decided it would either give my baby boy dain bramage or me a big speeding ticket so i just kept my wrx lol.
no your not. i own a subaru but not an sti and i have a very wide range of knowledge of cars.
well if you live around jersey i'll take you for a spin in my evo to change your mind
