I keep reading in some threads about how steroids and other performance enhancers don't do anything for cardio.

Let me introduce you to EPO

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_doping

From all acounts that I've head this stuff turns you into a cardio GOD. It is to help treat certain cancer symptoms back forcing your body to produce way more red blood cells.

No EPO = No cardio if thats what yours used to having.

did it say that in the article?

I would assume that your cardio would take a hit from getting off of it, but the crazy cardio you would be able to put in during trianing would keep you (if you have a good work ethic and arent using it just for a lazy boost) well above average.

What about your standard steroids, would they help cardio since you would be able to train so much more? any negative effects on cardio?

I'm not a steroid expert but I've been asking around my friends that are knowledgeable about it. They said that there are some steroids that lean you out and give you a bit better cardio...but its more the increased recovery time so you can train harder and longer that is the biggest improver.

If you take a steroid that will bulk you then you will take a big hit on your cardio because large muscles use more oxygen

Since it was biologically made higher by the increased red blood cells in your body, when you get off and your red blood cell count drops back to normal all the training you did with it wouldn't carry over. EPO isn't for muscle growth or recovery time..it literally makes your body over produce red blood cells. More red blood cells = more oxygen in your blood stream.

eq can help your cardio because it increases your red blood cell count

I meant that as a blanket term for performance enhancers because I wanted people to come read that were under the impression there weren't enhancers specifically for cardio that pride starts may have been using.

I am on steroids and so far I have seen no boost in my cardio. What I have seen though is I don't get DOMS nearly as bad and I seem to be able to last longer in the weights gym. I ran a 5k on Saterday and was the same pace and dead ass feeling by the end. Granted I have only been on them for two weeks.
Depo-Testosterone injections 100mg once a week. Doc perscribed btw.

You probably have test levels of an 8 year old boy

100 mg a week will make you in the normal range then

Has anyone here tried this, this no anabolic steirod but some of the guys in the F&N forum say it does help with your cardio levels. I think I'm going to pick some up and give it a try. It's made my by anafit.

for what purpose do you need it?

If you were at an elite level your coach would already be hooking you up.
