My steering wheel is starting to peel. So I've been peeling large bits off and its got a black under body, so I'm thinking of just peeling the whole lot off for a rough look then to use some sort of coating to tidy it up. It would look alot better than the current mid peel look.

Anybody ever had this? My car is no longer under the dealers warranty, and a new wheel is over £100 so fuck that. I'll probably give eBay a look for some cheap wheels also.

Anybody got any advice to strip the wheel, it will take forever! :o

NOT my wheel below. Mine is also not this bad, but this is the same wheel I have, and the below image shows the type of peel I'm having an issue with.

How about a lace-up steering wheel cover?

Just get a steering wheel cover, and a 100 is cheap if it has an airbag, fuck mines like 600.

Just make sure you get a LEATHER ONE or else your hand is gonna smell like gasoline every time your hand touches the damn thing
