I ride when it's cold....I like to be warm.

So...I see this on a few vendors' websites

    A* Tech Race thermal top

Basically, it's the thermal Under Armor but the front of the torso, and the front
of the arms down to the elbow have a windbreaking material sewn in.

At 80mph into a headwind wearing my perforated jacket in low 60 degree
temps I actually felt no sign of wind coming through my jacket. Obviously
it was.....so that silly shirt seems to actually work. When it got to 70 this
morning I was actually warm at highway speeds. Sitting in the shade it
off the bike it definitely feels warmer than without....so I guess that's
    the whole "thermal" thing...

Ummm so yeah...if you ride where it's cold.....it's something you might
    consider.

I may try that this winter.

I nearly froze my ass off a couple days last year.

Cyclegear....I am embarassed to say I spent $65 on it....but at least it works.

The people at Cyclegear had to order it, then said that Alpinestars was almost
    out of them....so I guess they're popular......somewhere

All the employees were like "yeah....you let us know if this works or not"

The idea is that hopefully that shirt will help avoid pushing me towards buying
    a non-perforated leather jacket for a while.

all I'm looking for now is some decent boots. I've been out in 46º temps in the morning......which calculates to friggin cold on the interstate....the only thing that still gets cold for me is my feet. I've found some gloves at wal-mart that are semi-insulated.....didn't feel anything the other morning. I bought a mask with a thermal 6" ring at the base (around the neck) that I wear under my helmet. The Joe Rocket leather jacket I have works fairly well when I have a long-sleeved shirt underneath. My feet are just too damn cold now.

You paid $65 for that? FACK!!!!!

I just where normal thermal undershirts and pants if its cold enough, work just as well, and don't cost nearly as much.

Yeah.....I have this problem holding onto money.

Compared to my thermal stuff.....the big + with that shirt is that wind just
doesn't get through it......which is a huge positive.

Now....why A* makes a "road tech" version of that without the windbreaker
stuff in it and charges $60....without any real benefit over thermals is
    beyond me....then again.....people will buy A* anything I guess.
