status bar problems

    for some reason, IE and explorer don't seem to remember my settings for displaying the status bar - half the time it's not there :dunno:

    anyone else have this problem? I think this started happening a few months ago so I wonder if it has to do with any MS updates?

    happens on both win2k and XP

    mine does the same thing. I figured there was a regedit hack to change it though.

    Ive had that same thing happen to me for years, just thought it was the way :confused:

    damnit, still didn't work for me - I probably screwed up following the instructions somewhere :o

    Ok, now i forgot part 2 of my problem, how do i make it so IE windows always open maximized? Now when i right-click -> open in new window it comes up on a standard window that does not fully cover the screen (except start bar).
